Waste Management of Intensive Livestock Production: MEXICO and VIETNAM

Mexico

The project began in August 2000 upon signature of the Letter of Agreement between FAO and the Fundación Mexicana para la Investigación Agropecuaria y Forestal A.C., the institute responsible for the coordination of the project.

After a first mission last February, to precise the project objectives and focus area, the current work is focussing on data collection.

Vietnam

The project will start within year 2001, in collaboration with the university of Agriculture and Forestry of Ho Chi Min, were contacts have been made with a multidisciplinary team (animal sciences, cropping, waste management, economy and policy, GIS).
