Livestock's role in the deforestation process
Activity 3: Design of Policy and Technology Options
The project in Nicaragua , Costa Rica and Colombia has a component to devise further policy options as more data become available through the monitoring process. The technological package introduced in that project, currently focusing on improved pastures, integration of trees, fodder banks, will be reviewed.
In Brazil , the on-going study will provide options for consideration by policy makers at national and local level.
